The town underwent various dominations, later becoming a residential place for the Roman aristocracy, who enjoyed the mild climate of these areas. About 25 years after the last excavations, comes from Herculaneum, a discovery that will make us better understand, the last moments of life, the town buried as the nearby Pompeii from the eruption of 79 A.D. Then, to further study, a new archaeological discovery, have completed the previous one.  After the discovery of the skeleton of what is considered the last fugitive of Herculaneum, that is a man escaped the fatal eruption for the Roman town in 79 d. C., on the ancient beach, not far from the victim, a small bag with the man’s belongings was found. This confirms that the continuous investigations and excavations in the Archaeological Parks in the area of Vesuvius can be daily and sensational new discoveries.
